The Art Glass Guild began in 1998 as an offshoot of the AGASC. We started out primarily as an outlet for those AGASC members who were interested in selling retail and educating the public about all forms of glass. We also double as the meeting location for the AGASC and the Guild. The Art Glass Guild is a non-profit retail sales gallery.
We are one of the largest all glass studios in California. We currently have 36 members that make, display and sell, blown glass, fused and slumped glass, torchwork beads and jewelry, mosaic art, sandblasted and etched glass, stained glass, cast and wire wrapped glass, and 3 dimensional glass. We have everything from individual glass beads, bracelets, and necklaces, to weathervanes, stepping stones, layered wall art, flat glass, etched wine glasses, blown glass bowls, vases, witch balls, fused light switch covers, knobs, hanging light pendants, wall sconces and paperweights.
We are a working studio with a 17" Jen Ken Kiln, for fusing and slumping. An oxygen - propane torch and toolbox bead kiln, for bead making and small hot projects. A lightbox, glass cutting system, wet grinder, Gryphon wet saw, and foil and lead cutting and burnishing tools, for doing stained glass and mosaics.
We sell Art Glass. We have a beautiful selection from 36 different artists. We sell everything glass, from individual glass beads to weather vanes. Vases, coasters, wall sconces, bowls, witch balls, handmade glass jewelry, sculptures, figurines, clocks, paperweights and more. All made of GLASS!
We teach classes at Studio 25. All classes are one on one and geared for you. There is a single price with no hidden kit fees or extra things to buy. You pick a topic, find a teacher and time and come and have a great time. We currently offer classes in fusing, stained glass, glass bead making, etching, PMC and also jewelry making.
Our studio is run by the artists, each one volunteering to work one day per month. Each artist also donates several hours of their time throughout the year to other non-profit groups as well as some of their artwork which is sold at auctions to help other non-profit organizations.
Anyone interested in selling retail, selling at shows or fairs or just wanting to learn more about the Art Gallery market could benefit from membership to our Guild and the AGASC. All Guild members have access to our glass equipment as well as our Art Glass video and magazine library. If you are interested in becoming a member, you will need to let us know, attend events and get involved with our glass community. The Art Glass Guild is currently by invitation only. Members are drawn from those that show involvement and participate in our events.
